Krosno
Krosno is located in the Podkarpackie Province. It has had the city rights since around 1348. In the years 1975-1998 it was the capital of the Krosno Voivodeship, then due to administrative changes it became a county city.

In 1874, on the initiative of the County Council in Krosno, the Loan Society was established to support the development of industry and crafts. The project was generously supported by Łukasiewicz, Trzecieski and Klobassa-Zrencki. The building, where the residence of the Loan Society was located, has survived to the present day. The building is located in Kapucyńska Street and was built at the end of the 19th century. There is a sgraffito frieze showing scenes related to weaving and oil mining, as well as portraits of Ignacy Łukasiewicz, Tytus Trzecieski and Karol Klobassa-Zrencki under the prominent eaves of the roof. Its author is Franciszek Daniszewski, a painter from Krosno.
There is a monument to Ignacy Łukasiewicz in 3 Maja Square, it is a bronze sculpture by Jan Raszka, created in 1932.

In Krosno, it is also worth visiting the Subcarpathian Museum, which houses one of the world's most valuable collections of kerosene lamps. The Museum has over 2 000 exhibits related to kerosene lighting, including a copy of the prototype of a kerosene lamp by Ignacy Łukasiewicz. The institution also has a unique collection of archives and exhibits related to Ignacy Łukasiewicz. The most valuable ones include the commemorative book  which the founder of the Polish Oil Industry received along with a commemorative medal on the 25th anniversary of the lighting of the first kerosene lamp and furniture from the manor house in Chorkówka.

Trivia

The figure of the Polish pioneer of the oil industry was also honored in the field of education and sport. In 1947 the Complex of Oil and Gas Schools named after Ignacy Łukasiewicz, colloquially called "Naftówka" was established. It  is the only oil school in Poland.
The shooting club took the name UMGKS Nafta Krosno.
There are enterprises related to the oil industry in Krosno, including PGNiG Technologie and the four-star Nafta Hotel.
